Welcome – Melinda Russo, CSW

Melinda (aka Mert) is a CSW. She graduated from Utah State University with her degree in Parks and Recreation Management. Later she decided to continue her education and received a Masters degree of Social work with a certificate in trauma responsive practice and military behavioral health at the University of Kentucky. Melinda has experience working with individuals who face significant trauma events in their lives. She has also worked closely with first responders as a peer support coordinator for the agency she retired from. Melinda also facilitated and developed an inter-agency team in the area of Utah where she worked. During that time, she enjoyed working with Law enforcement officers, firefighters, dispatch, and EMS. As Melinda developed her skills she began to enjoy working with individuals who recognize their struggles and mental health difficulties, any one who wants to learn tools to become their best self. She enjoys learning about each clients unique circumstance and helping identify their strengths throughout the therapy process. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time on the family ranch. She loves her dogs, specifically Lobo, a psychiatric service animal and facility dog. Melinda loves her family and spends her time with them playing video and board games.
