Gary is a graduate intern from Grand Canyon University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC), as part of his studies, he has specialized in Marriage and Family Therapy. He completed his undergraduate studies at Weber State University in Family Studies and Health. He is a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE-P) through the National Council of Family Relations (NCFR) and a Licensed Hospital Crisis Worker with experience in crisis intervention at the University of Utah’s Huntsman Mental Health Institute. Gary has worked as a first responder for twenty years and has extensive experience in crisis intervention. He was a founding member of the Weber/Morgan Safe Kids Coalition and the Domestic Violence Coalition. Gary has developed a passion for working with individuals of all ages, from children to older adults. He is uniquely trained to assist with a wide range of issues and admires the courage it takes to start counseling. He believes in fostering a safe, welcoming, no-judgment zone where you can embark on your healing journey. Gary employs evidence and strength-based methods in the therapeutic journey. He believes in people’s ability to learn and change for the better to achieve their desired goals. He aims to help you live a healthier, happier life filled with direction and purpose. When Gary is not working he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games, exploring new hiking trails, relaxing around a campfire, and traveling to new destinations.
