Welcome – Denny Bird, MSW, CSW

Denny began is professional journey spending 22 years in law enforcement, including 12 years dedicated to detective work, 10 years as a SWAT Negotiator, 9 years as a School Resource Officer, and 4 years as a Sergeant/Supervisor. He then decided to pursue his education by graduating from BYU Idaho, with his Bachelors degree in Marriage and Family Studies. Denny continued on to pursue his education at USU by obtaining his Masters of Social Work. After school Denny decided to get an additional certificate in mind-body bridging, and became proficient in Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Therapy. He takes a trauma-informed approach with each of these therapeutic modalities. Denny enjoys working with individuals who are seeking healing and hope and are striving to achieve their therapeutic goals. He brings a unique perspective gained from work and life experiences, and uses evidence-based modalities of therapy to help clients identify their true selves and find ways to flourish in any situation. In Dennys free time he loves spending time with his family, volunteering in church service, enjoying the outdoors, and fishing as often as possible.
