Welcome – Keshia Hicks, LPC

Keshia attended Western Connecticut State University to study Sociology and anthropology. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and continued to pursue her education. Keshia then studied at Southern Louisiana University where she received her marriage and family therapy, Master of Education degree. She is trained in areas of grief (pet/human), relationships, like adjustments, career issues/directions, health issues, self-esteem, and goal setting. Keshia enjoys working with a diverse population of clients who possess a sense of humor about life and who are ready for the adventure and growth that counseling can create. She helps to guide clients to find the life path for themselves that they never knew existed or were afraid to pursue for their lives. And this may be done in various ways, for various issues, simply adjusted to suit each client. She always remembers no two people are alike, maybe similar in some ways, but unique unto themselves. When Keshia isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, watching the TV show Project Runway, writing poetry, traveling to new places, going to see a good play, going for nature connect walks, and a wannabe hobby of golfing.
