Welcome – Kelsey Hernandez, LCSW

Kelsey Hernandez is an LCSW. Kelsey completed her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Weber State University in 2013. She then went on to complete her master’s degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2016. Kelsey followed in her grandpa’s footsteps and pursued social work. She always knew she’d go into a career that helps others. While working on her master’s degree Kelsey worked as a case manager for Weber Human Services. Once her master’s degree was completed she joined the child and youth therapy team at Weber Human Services, where she worked with youth and their families from ages 2-12. From there Kelsey went on to work at Ogden Regional Medical Center in both the Behavioral Health Unit and the Alcohol and Chemical Treatment unit. She also has experience working with adolescent girls in residential settings, court ordered cases, DCFS cases and domestic violence. Kelsey has also worked at The OCD and Anxiety Treatment Center.

Kelsey specializes in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety based disorders (generalized, social, panic and body dysmorphic disorder), depression, mood disorders, ADHD and some trauma. Kelsey frequently uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention and Motivational Interviewing.
