Ruth received her master's degree in social work from the University of Utah in 2003 and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in educational leadership at the University of Utah. She has extensive experience working with diverse communities, adolescents, young adults, women, education, non-profit agencies and presenting at local conferences. Ruth uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Gottman techniques for couples counseling, to name a few. She enjoys working with all clients including those with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, couples counseling, family and parenting, diversity issues, work place challenges, stress management and life transitions. Ruth focuses on helping clients feel empowered and heard, so that they can become more capable to navigate their challenges and find solutions towards making positive changes in their lives. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, traveling, seeing movies and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
