+ Dr. E. Brent Hale Ph.D, LPC
Received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Brigham Young University. He has also received a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from BYU as well as an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Utah. As a consultant to business and industry, he specializes in the development of high performance teams, the assessment of organizational culture and strategies to accomplish organizational change projects. Brent is the Chairman of the Drug Free Workplace Task Force for the State of Utah.

Received his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Family and Child Development from Weber State University. He became a Certified Family Life Educator in 2002 and has been trained in Divorce and Child Custody Mediation. Areas of expertise are in crisis management, marriage and family issues, and marriage preparation. Sean has extensive experience in working with psychiatric facilities throughout the state. Received his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Utah State University. He also holds two Bachelors Degrees from the University of Utah in Psychology and Family & Human Development. He is a board member for the Utah Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. He also serves on the board for the Wasatch Employer Council. Darren has a wide range of experience and training including couples and family issues, drug and alcohol assessment, Neurofeedback, and sex offender treatment. Received her Master of Mental Health Counseling degree from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in psychology from the University of Utah. Received her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Pepperdine University in California and is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her BA in Sociology is from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Charlyn has a wide range of experience, advanced training in Gestalt therapy and a background of ten years in private practice. Received his Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Utah in 1983, and is licensed as a Professional Counselor. Since 1990 Brock has worked with the Salt Lake County Division of Youth Services as a family therapist and manager of the Intensive In- Home / Family Preservation program. Brock has been with Blomquist Hale since 1998 and has a broad range of experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families. + Jan Watts, MSW, LCSW
Received MSW Master in Social Work in 1992 from Walla Walla University, Washington. She received certification in Drug/Alcohol studies from Eastern Washington University in 1992. She received her BA from the College of St. Benedict in 1978, Minnesota in Fine Arts and secondary education. She has previously worked with adult offenders in the correctional system, hospitals, outpatient settings, in home services and the department of defense, DOD (caring for soldiers returning from the war). She has experience with culturally diverse communities and is creative in providing prevention intervention for couples, families and adolescents. Since her return to Salt Lake after working with the DOD, she is working with older adults at the Marian Center and Eclipes homehealth. She also currently working on a holistic practitioner certification from the American College of Heath science. (Tuesday, Thursday Evenings & Saturday)
+ Mary Jane Dow, MA, LPC
A New Hampshire native, Mary Jane was graduated from Wagner College with a BS and from the University of Iowa with an MA. Special professional interests include depression and anxiety disorders, and issues relating to bereavement, stress, substance abuse, ADHD and individuation, as well as career indecision and change. Faith-based counseling, women's issues and GLBT issues are of particular interest. Having worked at Cornell College and the University of Utah Counseling Center for a total of 23 years, she has a specialty in doing psychotherapy with "emerging adults", people aged approximately 17 to 27. Another specialty is working with older, or geriatric, adults, and she has had much experience in working with people of all ages. Mary Jane likes to cook, read, sing, walk/run, hike, ski and is active in the community, her church and the lives of her husband and children. (Monday - Friday Daytime.)
+ Sallie Weber, LCSW, MEd.
Completed her Masters of Social Work at the University of Utah. She has a BA in English education and a Masters of Education from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. She is currently an elementary school counselor in the Davis School District where she works with whole classes, small groups and individuals. She serves on the school district crisis team and has co-taught parenting classes. Sallie worked for Valley Mental Health in a residential facility that provides care for seriously and persistently mentally ill adults and that operates the SLC crisis hotline. Sallie often uses "The Work" of Byron Katie a valuable adjunct to other therapeutic methods. She has worked with private therapy clients, presented workshops, taught college classes and taught junior high English. She loves reading and studying techniques for making life work and is inspired by helping people find their own wisdom and strength. (Saturday)
+ Patricia Totterer, LCSW (Se Habla Espanol)
Patricia comes originally from the small country of Uruguay where she obtained a Bachelor's of Social Work Degree in 1982. She also has a Master's Degree from the University of Utah and has enjoyed working with children, adolescents and families both in private and public settings under a wide variety of circumstances. These have included working with refugee families in Europe, individuals in poverty situations in South America, individuals participating in the justice system, and populations recovering from addictive behaviors. Her expertise also include children and adolescent mental health issues, treating Attachment Disorders and family dynamics derived from adoption, divorce and foster care and how to therapeutically parent difficult children. She prefers to keep a no-fault, problem solve attitude to find hands-on solutions to life's challenges utilizing everybody's strengths. Patricia has been married for 23 years and has six children that thrill her with their diverse interests including music, film, art history, fashion and literature. Brad has worked for over 16 years as a professional counselor and has extensive experience in substance abuse prevention, treatment and assessments. He is certified as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and able to perform evaluations for individuals who fall under DOT regulations. He is licensed as a LCSW. Brad graduated from the University of Utah's Alcohol and Drug Training Program in 1997. He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education in 1998. He then graduated from the U of U Graduate School of Social Work in 2002. He specializes in Alcohol and Drug evaluations and treatment. Brad works well with individuals who have anger issues, anxiety, depression, internet addiction, and other behavioral addictions. He is versed in Cognitive Behavioral therapy and, Motivational Interviewing to help with these issues. Brad has been working at Blomquist Hale Consulting since 2004.years. Licensed as a substance abuse counselor since 1996. Graduated from the University of Vermont BSChE. Graduated New York University MBA in 1976, Graduated University of Utah 2002 with Bachelors in Psychology. Graduated U of U with Master of Social Work in 2004. Licensed as a CSW 2004. Worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor in the adult population at Project Reality for 3 years. Work at the VA inpatient psychiatric unit for 1 year and in the VA geriatric program. Worked at Salt Lake County Youth Services. Bill has completed all his classwork in the PhD program at Argosy University as is currently working on his dissertation. Steve received his BS in Behavioral Science and MA in Psychological Counseling from National University in Fresno, California. Along with providing his services to Blomquist Hale's clients and facilitating the relationship workshop, Steve is an adjunct professor at Utah Valley University, teaching Personality Theory, Counseling Techniques, and DSM-TR classes. He also runs a private practice for those who are not affiliated with Blomquist Hale Consulting. Steve's specialty is helping married couples, or partners planning on marriage, develop strong cohesive relationships by emphasizing personal development so each partner will be able to bring their best self to their marriage. Steve and his wife of thirty-one years, Cary, have raised three children and enjoy spending time with family, especially their two grandsons. (Monday - Friday Daytime & Early Evening)
+ Holger 'HJ' Harrer, LCSW
HJ graduated with a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. He specializes in work with couples, families, blended families, and troubled teens. He works with individuals with depression, anxiety, stress, anger management, adjustment disorders, as well as issues related to the challenges of being single. HJ enjoys working with people from all religions, cultures, and sexual orientations. He is a snow board and motorcycle enthusiast and enjoys those opportunities in UT. (Saturday)

Loraine received her Masters of Social Work from Brigham Young University in 1999. She received her Doctorate of Social Work from the University of Utah in 2004 specializing in youth violence prevention. + Jenise Tingey, LCSW
Received her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Utah, and her Bachelors degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Weber State University. Jenise has a wide variety of experience and expertise. At one time she was working with infants bonding to mothers and in an acute care geriatric psychiatric hospital, thus working "from diapers to diapers." She enjoys helping with a myriad of life's problems, difficult transitions are of special interest to her. She has worked with families, couples, individuals and adolescents in a variety of settings, from in home work to those in a hospital setting. She works well with all socioeconomic groups with an affinity for the voiceless, and disenfranchised. She has three wonderful children and three adorable grandsons. Received her Master's Degree from Walla Walla University in Washington State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Past experience includes working with families through the State of Utah. Received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. Additionally, Jocelyn attained certification through the University of Utah's Alcohol and Drug Treatment Training Program. Jocelyn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has extensive experience counseling individuals, families, and couples struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. Jonathan received his Masters Degree in Counseling from Arizona State University, and also holds a Bachelors Degree from Brigham Young University in Psychology. He has been active in Employee Assistance work for many years and is a past member of the executive board of Employee Assistance Resources of Arizona. His treatment focus has been with adolescents and children, and he has a wide range of experience in treating depression and anxiety in adolescents and adults. + Sloane Smith, LCSW
For 23 years Sloane has worked in California, Arizona, and Utah, with individuals and families on issues including: anxiety, domestic violence, substance abuse, divorce and visitation issues, general parenting issues, family conflicts, addiction and mental illness. Sloane has experience working in a variety of settings doing crisis intervention and individual and group therapy: state agencies, private non-profits, residential treatment centers – short and long term. Sloane is currently working with children and adolescents who have Type 1 Diabetes at Primary Children's Medical Center. Sloane taught parenting classes for the Grandparents Program of Salt Lake and is still involved doing private therapy for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren, primarily due to the parents' involvement with drugs. Most of her current practice involves family and other relationship conflicts, mental health concerns, and life balance issues. Spending time with her two grandchildren is her delight. Diversions are gardening, thrift store shopping, and getting friends and relatives to deliver Trader Joe's supplies. Received her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Brigham Young University. She holds a Bachelors Degree from Weber State University in Social Work with minors in Spanish and Psychology. She was honored as a Humanitarian of the Year and received the University Rose Award for outstanding service endeavors by Weber State University. She also earned a certificate in Trauma-Informed Parent-Child Interaction Therapy at The Trauma Center in Boston. Christy has extensive experience in working with children, families, adults with issues of abuse and trauma, family violence, parenting, depression, severe mental illness, identity/self-concept, crisis intervention and women's issues. Received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University and a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. Tonja is also a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Areas of experience include Residential Treatment with Adolescents, community outreach, and later as a partner in a private practice group in Gig Harbor WA for 15 years. She works with individuals and families from a variety of backgrounds and believes that treatment is a collaborative effort between a client and therapist to meet mutually designed goals. Later had the opportunity to develop a clinical program for children in kinship placements at a non-profit agency. Has experience in working with adults with chemical dependency issues as she managed a medical detox service in a community hospital for several years. Her current focus is working with adults with acute life stressors, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and helping people with grief/loss. She also enjoys working with parents to improve relationships with their children. Currently also works in a hospital setting with people in crisis situations. Originally from Iowa, Mary received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah. She was accepted into the Academy of Certified Social Workers in 1984. She sits on the Continuing Education Accreditation Committee, University of Utah, NASW. Her professional career began doing clinical social work, medical social work and crisis in hospitals and women's clinics throughout the valley. She has a strong background in drug and alcohol addictions and codependency issues. Mary enjoys working with people in an effort to help them achieve more balanced and fulfilled lives. Attended the U. of U. and received her BA degree from San Jose State University in California. After raising her children in Salt Lake, she returned to CA and earned a Master's degree from John F Kennedy University in Orinda, California and held a California MFC license for a number of years. She returned to her home state of Utah where earned a Licensed Professional Counselor license. Enjoys working with individual, relationship, parenting, and GLBT issues.
